The Tech I Prior Auth & Appeals, Exchanges (CPht registered with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy) takes in-bound calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgement calls to the pharmacist.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred: Minimum of 1-2 years of Call Center or Member Services experience or 2 years of healthcare industry related experience (hospital,managed care, physician office, PBM, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to deal with a diverse customer base in a friendly and confident manner (internal and external customers). Excellent communication skills (oral, written, grammar, listening). Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. PC Windows experience required. Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).


Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred. Must attain National Certification within 6 months of hire.
